What started as just six Saturdays winter 2019 is quickly becoming a fun way to learn the art of craft cocktails.
Detroit Cocktail Camp has becoming a traveling event, partnering with at some of the best bars and distilleries in Metro Detroit on cooking classes for cocktails.
These intimate and exclusive classes give guests the chance to laugh & mingle with each other while master mixologists teach the tricks of the trade.

Motor City Gas Whiskey is going to be teaching Cocktail Campers how to play with fire in this Smoked Cocktails themed class.
The earthy tones of whiskey often has a smokey note & the owner/artisan distiller Rich, will be teaching how to enhance that flavor with a variety of techniques. Every batch of whiskey Rich makes is unique. He has a passion for flavor and will share that passion in this class.

Your sense of smell is extremely important to enjoying the full flavor of a cocktail. Castalia pairs craft cocktails with fragrances for multi-sensory cocktails and will be teaching a select group a few tricks of their trade. It’s a different experience than other Metro Detroit bars.
Chief cocktail scientist, Kevin Peterson, will be teaching how to pair fragrance and flavor to give depth to cocktails you create in your home bar. Due to the size of the venue, the class will be limited to fourteen guests.
Shrubs, Infusions & More - Take Two
Rusted Crow Distillery's menu is full of craft cocktails that take their small batch spirits and combines them with fresh ingredients, such as herbs and spices to create truly unique flavors.
Andrew Starnes, the distiller, will lead the campers on a tour of the facility as they learn about his distilling process. Afterwards, the mixologists will teach campers how to “Up Your Home Bar Game” by revealing some of their tricks for layering flavors, muddling, infusing and other pro tips to make the perfect homemade craft cocktail. If you haven’t been to Rusted Crow’s tasting room, this is great way to check it out.

Italian Summer Cocktails
For Negroni Week, Detroit Cocktail Camp & the team at The Detroit Club are partnering up to showcase more than just the negroni with Italian Summer Cocktails. If you want to learn how to use Campari, Amaro and other Italian Liqueurs in your drinks, this is the camp session you'll enjoy.
Garden to Glass
Garden to Glass is an idea that the Beverage Director, not for one DTW bar but for NINE DTW bars & restaurants, has had in his head for a while.
Detroit Cocktail Camp was happy to entice Dan McCarthy to go back behind the bar for an afternoon to teach this unique class. We’re going to be talking about the bounty of fresh ingredients we have available in the Detroit area and how you can use those to make unique & flavorful cocktails.

Tiki Drinks & Punches
Pool party time & what better way to celebrate than to add a little Caribbean flair with some Tiki Drinks. The team at Anchor Bar are going to teach DCC campers a couple of classics and a few modern Tiki Drinks to help make your BBQ the hit of of the neighborhood. Because no one wants to spend the entire day behind the bar, we’re also going to be teaching guests how to take those individual drinks and adapt them into punches or batched cocktails.
